Eligibility for equity pricing is based on correctly and truthfully identifying myself as a DOD ID cardholder, and/or my commitment to volunteering with Mom2Mom Global. If I receive the volunteer discount, I agree to the following terms:
- I will fulfill the duties of my volunteer position for at least one year, and that I will be fully operational within my position by the time I complete my MiLC training (one year from the date of enrollment).
- If I begin my volunteer commitment with a Mom2Mom Chapter and I must leave the Chapter before the year is out, I agree to complete my volunteer commitment with Mom2Mom Global in another volunteer capacity, as mutually determined by myself and the Mom2Mom Global Board/Staff.
- I understand that if I do not fulfill my volunteer duties by the time I complete the MiLC training, I will be liable for the remaining balance due for MiLC registration under the applicable category. I understand I will NOT receive my MiLC Certificate until I pay all fees due.
- I will report any change in volunteer or DOD status to [email protected] within 30 days.
- Any false statements regarding my volunteer or DOD status is a violation of the MiLC Code of Ethical Conduct and will result in the immediate termination of my eligibility to become a MiLC, and revocation of certification if it has already been conferred. No refunds will be issued, and I will be liable for additional fees if it is determined that I knowingly misrepresented my eligibility for equity pricing.
Insurance: MiLCs who practice lactation counseling within Mom2Mom Global activities, including the MiLC internships, are covered under Mom2Mom Global liability insurance. MiLCs who practice in ANY setting outside of Mom2Mom Globall are NOT covered and are strongly recommended to obtain personal malpractice liability insurance.
Refunds:
- Prior to beginning the course, a full refund may be issued, minus a $50 processing fee. Please direct your refund request via email to [email protected]
- After beginning the course, no refunds will be issued.
A one-time extension The MiLC has a rolling enrollment with a one-year time frame to complete. Please contact us at [email protected] for extenuating circumstances that may prevent you from meeting this deadline.
